AMD RAID Dropped Disk Issue

AMD RAID: Some Asus motherboards with AMD RAID onboard will kick a drive out of the array.

This problem has occured twice, in my shop, on ASUS motherboards with onboard surge protection. It seems to kick a drive out of RAID whenever a surge is detected. In both case, disabling the anti-surge feature in the motherboard's BIOS prevented the problem from recurring. Once disabled, you can use AMD RAIDXpert to restore the array to full functionality.
